In spite of the attraction to its pristine beaches, the focal point of Huntington Beach remains its historical Pier. Extending approximately 1,853 ft into the ocean, the pier is the perfect perch to view the gorgeous coastline and watch the awesome antics of local surfers. Fishing is another popular activity on the pier, complete with bait shop and fish cleaning stations on-hand. The pier is also home to the Surf City Store, Kite Connections and Ruby's Surf Diner, and at the base of the pier, you'll find restaurants such as Duke's and Chimayo's with a more upscale ambiance. Visit one of the dozen beach volleyball courts nearby, take in a free summer concert one weekend, or check out one of the weekly farmer's market and other special events at the Pier Plaza Promenade.
